Tips as you send your son or daughter to college
As our kids are going forward we are often looking back at photos and special memories with pride. We are letting each one of our kids grow into the great individual they are. Our memories and sentiments are gifts we have been given as parents. What joy and excitement we have at this sentimental crossroad in our new chapter of life. Going through photos is a great thing to do at this time in our lives. I have found it helpful to take the photos and create a digital disk to easily share with others. It is easy to take photos to a scanning machine at any copy center (if you don't have a scanner at home). You can usually scan 450 photos on one disk. The photos are there for anytime you get a chance to share the memories. After the kids experience their first semester of school, they enjoy reviewing the photo disk and taking a visit "digitally" down memory lane...they even enjoy helping to find and scan new photos for the collection. It's really touching and fun to share this experience together. Getting photos together to scan is a great way to reconnect with your spouse through the great memories you share. After photos are on a disk, you can let it run on your computer, create gifts like t-shirts or photo mugs, or simply send them to family. Sending a special memory photo to your college student during exams to keep em' smiling. It is great to send photos to grandparents, aunts & uncles too, or create memory calendars at christmas for the family. Congratulations parents! Fall is around the corner and students will move forward and also appreciate our sentimental turning back of time on occasion!
